Erdogan Çavdar, who is a painter originally, was born 1965 in a
small Anatolian village in Refahiye, Erzincan. After taking his
preliminary education in his village, his family immigrated to
Istanbul in 1977 like many other Anatolian families for a better
life. There he started painting as a passion during high school
ages, but he couldn’t complete his education because of this
passion. He mostly worked on traditional Ottoman and Persian
miniatures and gravures on bone tiles and boxes, also sculptored
on clay. Receiving many appreciation from the environment to his
strong drawings, he’s started tattoing professionally in 1998,
established his studio called Anatolia Tattoo by a friend’s
insistent abetment. Within a short while after he started, he and
his studio became very well known with his works amongst the best
in the sector. He’s currently continuing his professional service
in tattooing at Anatolia Tattoo in Maltepe,Istanbul, never giving
up his creativity in other branches of arts. |
