I had no idea about what would happen to me, when I decided
to get a tattoo. I made a little research at the internet and
found the closest studio to me, which was in Maltepe district
then; it was ANATOLIA TATTOO. I found it but my head was still
full of with many question marks such as: How would it be like?
How good was he doing it? Would it hurt? Was it hygienic
enough? etc., cause tattooing is a serious business. In spite
of the fact that there are all the necessary explanations
existing in the web site, you can never be sure about it. You
have no chance to erase it after making a mistake when
applying a tattoo. You may be fall in big trouble if you catch
an infection. Anyhow, I decided to check the place out and
meet the guy. There is also a photo of the man on the home
page, but he looks like a domestic family guy rather than a
tattoo artist.J Nonetheless, I never give out such an
impression that I myself is a kind of guy who has tattoo on
his body. I found the place, entered the studio and said that
I wanted to get a tattoo. The man said “no problem”, we chosen
the figure, negotiated the price, and got started. I was still
feeling uneasy for not knowing what was going to be appeared,
but at least the hygienity was not an issue any more. We had a
great chat during the operation when I realized that the
master was just a kindred spirit. Started with tea, followed
by tins of beers, so finished the tattoo. I expected no better,
therefore I felt releived completely. But there was a problem:
I would definitely miss the connection with this simple
hearted good looking man. I found myself as a dude after
leaving the place where I’ve entered as a client a couple of
hours ago. As of that day, ANATOLIA TATTO has become an abode
to me where to stop by as long as I get the opportunity, where
I spend a good time. And he draws something on me as long as
he has time. Now ANATOLIA TATTOO is in Kadıköy, in other words,
it moved more far away from me (nowadays he is planning to
move again), but wherever he goes I’ll never discard that
abode. Because I’ve met a true friend thanking to tattoo
interest came over me after my age of forty. It is hard to
find a true friend nowadays, and Erdoğan is one of my few true
friends. Fortunately I’ve found ANATOLIA TATTOO, fortunately
you were there Erdoğan.
By the way, I must
tell you, if you want to get tattoo in Turkey, you can hardly
find a better one.
Now I’m also
assisting him in his international affairs. I help him in
communicating with the foreigner clients and in international
correspondences. Besides the English version of his web site
is my work. I have the joy and honor of making a contribution
in his organisation.
In my tattoo, he
worked around the ancient Hitite’s symbol which is the main
model in the centre, and improvised the tribal figures around
it.
Here’s the video
of that work :

Hello.
I had been searchıng for a tattoo artıst to
cover up some acne scars that ı have on my shoulders. That ıs
how ı came ın contact wıth Erdogan and anatolıa tattoo. I
found hıs websıte and saw the work he had done coverıng up
scars and İ thought ıt looked really good, İ had not found any
other artıst wıth that many pıctures of scar coverups on the
ınternet or elesewhere so İ thought İ would contact hım and
see what he saıd about my scars ıf he could cover them or not.
And so İ dıd contact hım and sent hım pıctures of my scars and
he saıd he dıdnt thınk ıt would be a problem to cover them
wıth a tattoo. I had been plannıng to go out and travel a
lıttle so İ thought that İ would go to Istanbul fırst to look
ıt up. When I came here everyone was so frıendly and he seemed
really serıous so İ decıded that İ would do ıt. Also İ saw a
scar coverup on a real person that he had done and ıt looked
really nıce =) I had been thınkıng a lıttle of what İ wanted
to do and Erdogan helped me to draw up 2 dragons, one on each
shoulder goıng from the back over the shoulders on to my chest.
Fırst when we started ı was a lıttle bıt worrıed ıf ıt would
work ıf ıt would be good or not. Now when İ am fınıshed İ am
really happy wıth the result of the tattoos they look really
nıce and cover up my scars really good, and İ wouldnt want
anyone else to do ıt. Erdogan ıs a real artıst and dıd both my
dragons freehand accordıng to my scars so ıt would cover
them as good as ıt could be done. If u want to get a tattoo ın
Turkey or have scars that u would want to cover up u
should really look thıs guy up, he ıs really good =) And İ had
a really good tıme when İ was here gettıng tattooed, everyone
ıs so nıce and frıendly =)
Here’s the
video of that work :

Thıs ıs my second tattoo at Anatolia
Tattoo, and thıs one ıs çok guzel. Erdoğan dıd a
great job on thıs tattoo. I'm sure that I wıll get
many very good comments on thıs one. Erdoğan ıs the best!!!
If you are ın Istanbul and ıf you have ever thought of gettıng
a tattoo, thıs ıs the place. I was 42 years old when I
got my fırst one, and I am defınıtely glad that I was able to
have Anatolıa Tattoo do the work. If they had not done
such a great job, I probably would not be gettıng a second one.
I lıve ın Tokyo, Japan, and only came over for a short vısıt.
But Erdoğan was able to do the tattoo ın the evenıng for me.
Thıs ıs a really great shop, wıth very frıendly and lovıng
people.
